Blusource Recruitment is working with an established and growing business to recruit an Assistant Accountant for an initial 12-month fixed-term contract.
This is a hands-on position within a busy finance function, offering plenty of variety and the opportunity to get involved in detailed reconciliations, multi-currency accounting and month-end processes.
The business is looking for someone who enjoys working with numbers, has strong Excel skills and is comfortable investigating and resolving differences within financial information.
There is also the possibility of the position becoming permanent beyond the initial contract.
The Role
Working as part of the finance team, your responsibilities will include:
Preparing and maintaining bank reconciliations.
Supporting month-end processes, particularly accruals and prepayments.
Assisting with VAT-related accounting activities.
Reconciling transactions across multiple currencies.
Managing detailed supplier and stock-related reconciliations.
Checking supplier invoices against deposits, payments and agreed terms.
