CPC Consulting is currently recruiting for an experienced and reliable Caretaker to join a busy educational establishment in Mitcham.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on individual with previous experience in caretaking, facilities, maintenance or site support to join a welcoming school environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for helping to maintain a safe, secure and well-presented site for students, staff and visitors.

Due to the nature of the role, applicants must hold a current Enhanced DBS certificate or be willing to undergo the appropriate checks.

The Role

As Caretaker, you will be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep of the school buildings and grounds, ensuring the site remains safe, clean and fully operational. You will carry out routine inspections, basic maintenance and repair tasks, support room and event set-ups, and monitor the overall condition of the premises.

You will be responsible for opening and securing areas of the site, reporting defects, undertaking minor maintenance works and liaising with contractors when required. The role will also involve supporting health and safety compliance, carrying out regular site checks and assisting with the smooth running of the school estate.
