Locum GP – Swindon

Locum GP – Swindon

Enjoy the variety that comes with a young, fast-growing patient list? Michael is supporting a busy Swindon practice that serves several new-build communities on the edge of town, and they’d like a Locum GP to help them keep pace.

Key Details:

– Location: Swindon

– Role: Locum GP

– Rate: £700 per day

– Availability: 3–5 days available, with flexibility

– Working pattern: Full weekday sessions, with a sensible lunchtime admin block

– Patient workload: Up to 15 patients per session, mostly pre-booked with a handful of on-the-day slots

– Clinical system: EMIS

– Start date: Immediate start available

Key Responsibilities:

– Running routine and same-day surgeries for a diverse, family-heavy patient population

– Seeing a good share of paediatric, women’s health and contraception consultations

– Reviewing results and correspondence linked to your own patients

– Working alongside clinical pharmacists, a physician associate and the practice nursing team

What Makes It Stand Out:

Because so many of the patients are young families, the case mix here leans towards child health, pregnancy-related queries and contraception, which makes for interesting, varied clinics rather than back-to-back repeat reviews. The clinical pharmacists take the bulk of medication reviews and prescription queries, so your list stays focused on consulting. The partners are hands-on and approachable, there’s free on-site parking, and Swindon’s spot on the M4 and Great Western mainline makes the commute easy from Bath, Reading or Oxford.

Requirements:

– Full GMC registration with a licence to practise

– Inclusion on the NHS England Medical Performers List

– Right to work in the UK

– Appropriate medical indemnity cover

– Relevant GP/primary care experience

– Up-to-date compliance
