Manufacturing Engineer CNC

• Lead manufacturing costing and quotation activities.

• Develop manufacturing instructions, tooling requirements and technical documentation.

• Coordinate CNC programming activities and support the introduction of new CNC equipment.

• Reduce scrap, waste and rework through effective process control and improvement.

• Work closely with Design, Supply Chain, Planning, Customer Service, Quality and EHS teams.

• Support manufacturing investments and wider engineering projects.

• Undertake occasional international travel as required.

Skills and Experience

Essential:

• At least five years’ experience within a manufacturing environment.

• HNC, degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant technical discipline.

• Strong process knowledge of CNC turning, milling and/or grinding.

• A practical, analytical approach to problem-solving and process improvement.

Desirable:

• Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) activities.

• Experience creating and managing CAM programmes.

• Knowledge of NC programming for single-function and multi-functional CNC equipment.

• Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems.

• Previous experience within aerospace manufacturing.

• Understanding of aerospace bearing products and their applications.

• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.

• IEng, CEng or equivalent professional accreditation, or a willingness to work towards it.
