Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Rainham, Essex (RM13)
Salary: Up to £50,000
This is a hands-on position suited to an experienced CNC machinist who has stepped into a supervisory or team-leading capacity. You will be responsible for supporting day-to-day production activities, troubleshooting manufacturing issues and ensuring output, quality and efficiency targets are achieved.
The successful candidate will be comfortable leading by example, mentoring operators and technicians, and stepping onto the machines when required.
Responsibilities of this Manufacturing Engineer role:
- Support and coordinate daily production activities across the manufacturing area
- Lead, mentor and develop production operators and machinists
- Set production priorities and ensure schedules are achieved
- Monitor performance, productivity and quality metrics
- Carry out root cause investigations and implement corrective actions
- Provide hands-on machining support when required
- Support machine set-ups, process optimisation and production troubleshooting
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste
