The Role
As a Mechanical Fitter, you’ll be responsible for the mechanical assembly, fitting and testing of precision machine tool components and assemblies.
Your responsibilities will include:
Bench fitting and assembling linear and rotary axes, tooling and ancillary equipment.
Assembling mechanical systems, including enclosures, tool stores and associated plant and equipment.
Inspecting and aligning linear and rotary axes to ensure accuracy and performance.
Using manual and digital inspection equipment to check alignment and tolerances.
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, dimensions and geometric tolerances.
