SEND Teaching Assistant – Day-to-Day Supply, Starting Immediately These flexible opportunities are ideal for support staff who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings. You will work across multiple schools in Norwich and the surrounding areas, providing day-to-day support with the potential for longer-term or permanent roles.Duties as SEND Teaching Assistant:
- Support pupils with special educational needs in classroom and small group settings
- Assist in implementing individual education and behaviour plans
- Promote positive behaviour and inclusive learning strategies
- Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to ensure tailored support
- Provide one-to-one assistance where required and help pupils engage with learning activities
- Uphold safeguarding and welfare standards at all times
Ideal SEND Teaching Assistant:
- Previous experience supporting children with SEND is desirable
- Strong understanding of behaviour management and differentiated learning
- Ability to build positive relationships and maintain a calm, supportive approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
