SEND Teaching Assistant – Day-to-day supply from as soon as possible These flexible opportunities are ideal for SEND Teaching Assistants who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings. You’ll be working across a range of primary schools in Tower Hamlets and nearby areas, supporting pupils with special educational needs and helping to create inclusive learning environments.Duties as SEND Teaching Assistant:
- Support pupils with a range of special educational needs across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
- Assist with personalised learning plans and interventions
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to monitor progress
- Help manage classroom routines and transitions
- Uphold safeguarding and school policies consistently
Ideal SEND Teaching Assistant:
- Experience working with children with SEND in UK primary schools
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to different pupil needs and school environments
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
- HLTA qualification or relevant training is desirable
