Control System Engineer

• Support the installation, testing and commissioning of new machinery and production equipment.

• Diagnose electrical, automation and control system faults.

• Provide technical support to production and maintenance teams.

• Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance, reliability and operational efficiency.

• Ensure automation systems comply with relevant safety requirements and industry standards.

• Maintain accurate technical documentation and system records.

• Work with external suppliers and engineering partners on automation projects.

Skills and experience:

• Degree, Associate’s qualification or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics or a related discipline.

• Previous experience in an industrial automation, controls or manufacturing engineering role.

• Practical experience programming and troubleshooting industrial PLC systems.

• Knowledge of HMI systems, industrial drives and automated equipment.

• Experience working with electrical control systems and industrial machinery.

• Understanding of industrial networking and communication protocols.

• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and engineering drawings.

• Strong electrical fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

• Good understanding of machinery safety and relevant electrical standards.

• Ability to manage engineering tasks independently and work effectively within a team.

Desirable experience:

• Experience with industrial robotics and automated production systems.

• Knowledge of motion control, servo systems and automated positioning applications.

• Experience with industrial safety systems and machine risk assessments.

• Familiarity with SCADA and manufacturing execution systems.

• Experience supporting equipment installation and commissioning projects.

• Relevant industry training or professional engineering certifications.
