Locum GP – Bournemouth

Locum GP – Bournemouth

Fancy a regular three-day week by the coast? Kyan is supporting a friendly, well-run practice in Bournemouth that is looking for a Locum GP to cover six sessions a week on an ongoing basis.

Key Details:

– Location: Bournemouth

– Role: Locum GP

– Rate: £700 per day

– Availability: 3 days per week (6 sessions), with flexibility on which days

– Working pattern: Full weekday sessions, morning and afternoon, with an admin block between surgeries

– Patient workload: Up to 15 patients per session, a mix of pre-booked and on-the-day appointments

– Clinical system: SystmOne

– Start date: Immediate start available

Key Responsibilities:

– Running routine and same-day surgeries for a mixed-age patient list

– Managing acute presentations alongside chronic disease follow-up

– Reviewing results, letters and prescription requests linked to your own patients

– Working closely with the practice nurses, an ANP and the PCN pharmacy team

About the Opportunity:

This role offers something many locums look for but rarely find: a consistent, predictable week with the same team. Committing to six sessions means you’ll get to know the patients and colleagues, see your follow-ups through, and settle into a practice that genuinely values its regular locums. The partners are approachable, there’s always a GP on hand for a second opinion, and the admin team keeps clinics running smoothly. Outside work, Bournemouth’s beaches and the New Forest are right on the doorstep, and the town is well connected by rail to Southampton and London Waterloo.

Requirements:

– Full GMC registration with a licence to practise

– Inclusion on the NHS England Medical Performers List

– Right to work in the UK

– Appropriate medical indemnity cover

– Relevant GP/primary care experience

– Up-to-date compliance
