Locum GP – Salisbury

Locum GP – Salisbury

Ready to swap the city for a bit more breathing space? Zak is recruiting a Locum GP for a rural dispensing practice just outside Salisbury, where the medicine is varied and the pace is refreshingly manageable.

Key Details:

– Location: Salisbury (rural practice, a short drive from the city centre)

– Role: Locum GP

– Rate: £700 per day

– Availability: 3–5 days available, with the option to discuss ongoing work

– Working pattern: Weekday sessions, with the occasional home visit to surrounding villages

– Patient workload: Up to 15 patients per session, with protected admin time built into the day

– Clinical system: EMIS

– Start date: Flexible, with sessions available from the next few weeks

Key Responsibilities:

– Consulting with a close-knit rural community across every age group

– Managing acute presentations, minor injuries and long-term condition reviews

– Authorising prescriptions with support from the experienced in-house dispensary team

– Carrying out occasional home visits to housebound and frail patients

About the Opportunity:

Rural general practice brings a breadth of work you don’t always see in town, and this team genuinely enjoys it. The dispensary staff are knowledgeable and well organised, the reception team know their patients by name, and the partners are always happy to be a sounding board on a tricky case. With free on-site parking, a calm working environment and no overflowing waiting room, it’s a lovely place to build into your regular diary – and the practice would welcome an ongoing arrangement with the right GP.

Requirements:

– Full GMC registration with a licence to practise

– Inclusion on the NHS England Medical Performers List

– Right to work in the UK

– Appropriate medical indemnity cover

– Relevant GP/primary care experience

– Up-to-date compliance
